Daniel Hughes, from Rhayader, Powys, was involved in a collision on the A470 near the town, but died
later at Hereford General Hospital.
His friends and family said they were devastated by the loss of "a young man who lived and
loved life to the full".
He had recently set up home with his partner Emma and was a keen sportsman who played rugby for
nearby Llanidloes and enjoyed mountain biking.
In a statement, Mr Hughes' family said: "He was popular, well liked by all those who knew
him, much remembered for his cheeky grin and after he had taken his time to get to know someone,
then that person would have a loyal friend for life."
